TMNT #35 (IDW)

TMNT #35 from IDW.  Original IDW solicitation details below.  Available June 25, 2014 June 18, 2014.

  1. Cover A (Mateus Santolouco) – regular cover
  2. Cover B (Kevin Eastman) – regular cover
  3. Cover RI (Ken Garing) – 10 copy Retailer Incentive cover
  4. Cover RE Kevin Eastman Fan Club SDCC (Kevin Eastman, Peter Laird, Steve Lavigne) – Kevin Eastman Fan Club Retailer Exclusive – for distribution at SDCC 2014 by Kevin Eastman.
NOTE: Cover RI and Cover RE were incorrectly distributed (read more here).  Cover RE was incorrectly distributed as Cover RI and the actual Cover RI has yet to be distributed.  To make up for this error, IDW will be creating an RE Kevin Eastman Fan Club SDCC cover for TMNT #36.  UPDATE: Cover RI was eventually distributed at SDCC 2014 to attendees of the Diamond Retailer Luncheon.  Copies of Cover RI have not been made publicly available for purchase (although you can sometimes find copies on the second-hand market and eBay).

That’s correct. I was at the retailer’s lunch yesterday myself and got a copy. They should start to show up on Ebay any day now.

Awesome…cool to finally see them out and about. I hope IDW makes any extras available in the IDW shop. 🙂

It’s a good job I check back on these pages sometimes, otherwise I might not have known about it coming out! Time to go find the best priced version…

Just curious, should the RE listing be removed from this page…or is it still going to show up as #35…not #36

Hey Jeremy, it’s a bit of a tricky situation for sure but I plan to leave it up. Reasoning…all 4 of the covers for #35 actually exist as listed. Even though the RE cover was distributed as if it were the RI cover, the cover itself is still designated and labeled as “RE”. In addition, the RI cover may be distributed at some point anyway so if that happens, all covers will have been distributed and will have the label and artwork as listed. It will just be the way they were distributed that is wonky…but all else would be valid. Kinda crazy situation though.

Hey, was wondering if thee has been any update on the Eastman Fan book cover?? A lot of comic sites are putting the image of the fan book cover as the Ken Garig cover which must be a mistake on their part.

I don’t yet have any firm details about the KE cover. I suspect it will be something Kevin takes with him to shows this summer. He may also make it available on his KE Studios site.

I was able to get a copy of the Kevin Eastman RE cover at my local comic shop, but for some reason they did not recieve the RI (1:10) cover. Weird.

I got the RE Eastman cover too but not the regular 1:10 cover. I’m thinking maybe it was replaced with Eastmans? I actually got two of them… one from each “local” shop. 😀

I haven’t gotten mine yet but I do see all over the internet (as Cob said) that people are selling the RE cover but stating it’s the RI cover (but it is actually labeled on the cover as “Cover RE”). Totally confusing. My order from DCBS says the RI cover is filled and ready to ship. I’ll have to look on the interior of my #35 when I pick it up this morning to see what all the covers say.

What is the name of this next story arc? How many issues will it be? Has any of this been announced yet?

I don’t know that this new story-arc has a name…likely just stories that continue the story along. At least I’ve not personally seen a name for it.
