SUMMARY:

Raw, uncut, and unfolded double-sided error variant cover flat that was never actually used on the Tales of the TMNT, Vol. I #1 1st printing books.  The error is that the image intended for the TMNT Vol. I #4 2nd printing cover was accidentally used along with trade dress (lettering) for Tales of the TMNT Vol. I #1 1st printing (both exterior and interior).  Very limited quantities of this error cover are known to exist as they were only discovered when Peter Laird began selling the few he had from his personal archives.  None of these error covers have been seen bound to actual copies of Tales of the TMNT Vol. I #1 1st printing (unlike its counterpart error for TMNT Vol. I #4 2nd printing, which was actually cut and bound to some copies of TMNT Vol. I #4 2nd printing).  Signed by Peter Laird.
