The much-anticipated penultimate issue of TMNT: The Last Ronin will be hitting comic shops this fall. To date, The Last Ronin series from IDW has been a major success, generating record sales and amassing over 125 variant covers through just the first three issues. But, hang on to your hats people – you ain’t seen nothin’ yet!
I’m pleased to announce that TMNT: A Collection will have two very special variant covers for TMNT: The Last Ronin #4 featuring custom artwork by legendary Mirage Studios TMNT artist Jim Lawson. Both covers will display the same amazing artwork by Jim Lawson; two unique pieces – one on the front cover and one on the back. Cover A will be in full color (colored by the extremely talented Beejay Hawn); Cover B will be Black & White (featuring Jim’s deep, rich, classic Mirage-era black tones).
As a life-long Jim Lawson fan, it’s an incredible honor to have Jim’s infamous style adorning the covers of TMNT: A Collection variants. I simply couldn’t imagine the most popular Turtles series in history without seeing Jim Lawson’s take on it – and now it’s a reality!
Purchasing information, pricing, and all other details will be announced a few weeks prior to the release date for TMNT: The Last Ronin #4. The full front and back artwork for both covers will be revealed later in August but, for now, here’s a little teaser.
